Lately, I’ve been setting up my habit tracker at the start of every week. I have one side of the page for my morning routine habits and the other side for evening routine habits.

Then, I leave space underneath each routine so I can reflect on my progress at the end of the week. Each week, I choose new habits and set specific goals for how many times I want to complete each habit.
Morning Routine Habit-Choosing Questions
When it comes to selecting my morning habits, I ask myself a few key questions:
What kind of energy do I want to start my day with?
What would help me feel grounded, focused, or calm in the morning?
What do I want to make consistent so that my mornings feel smoother?
What do I want more of in my mornings (movement, stillness, creativity, inspiration)?
Which habit would help me connect with myself before I connect with the world?
These questions guide me in choosing habits that resonate with my intentions for the week.
Evening Routine Habit-Choosing Questions
As the day winds down, I turn my attention to my evening habits. Here are some questions I ponder:
How do I want to feel before I go to bed?
What helps me wind down and signal to my body that it’s time to rest?
What do I want more of in my evenings (rest, reflection, connection, gratitude, creativity)?
Which habit will help me release the day and prepare for tomorrow with ease?
What small practice would help me close the day feeling proud or at peace?
Reflecting on these questions allows me to create a soothing evening routine that supports restful sleep.
Weekly Check-In Questions
At the start of each week, I also consider these check-in questions for both my morning and evening routines:
What do I want to make more time for this week?
What do I want less of in my mornings/evenings?
Which 1–3 habits will make the biggest difference for how I feel each day?
What’s the minimum version of each habit that still feels supportive?
How will I know this tracker is helping me (instead of adding pressure)?
These questions help me stay mindful and intentional about my habits.
Weekly Review
At the end of the week, I review the habits I accomplished versus the ones I struggled with. This reflection is crucial for improving my routines. I ask myself:
What habits felt easy to do?
What habits felt hard to keep up with?
Where did I not hit my goal, but still feel success with?
What am I proud of myself for?
What do I need more support with?
What habits don’t feel aligned anymore that I can let go of?
What new habits do I want to try or prioritize to build a more nourishing routine?
This process of reflection helps me understand my journey better and adjust my habits as needed.
Embracing Change and Growth
As I embark on this journey, I find that my habits evolve. Each week brings new insights and opportunities for growth. I encourage you to embrace this process as well!
Setting Intentions
Setting intentions is a powerful way to guide your habits. Consider what you truly want to cultivate in your life. Whether it’s more creativity, mindfulness, or connection, setting clear intentions can help you stay focused.
Celebrating Small Wins
Every small win matters! Celebrate your achievements, no matter how minor they may seem. Each step forward is a step toward a healthier relationship with yourself.
My Blue-Themed Week Ahead
I went for a blue theme for next week:

How do you track your habits?
